May 2, 2010 – Fifth Sunday of Easter
Acts 11:1–18 To the Jerusalem believers Peter explains how the Holy Spirit was received by the Gentiles.
Psalm 148 This psalm asks all of creation and all peoples to praise God.
Revelation 21:1–6 John sees a vision of a new heaven and a new earth.
John 13:31–35 Jesus shares a new commandment to love one another.
May 9 Sixth Sunday of Easter
Acts 16:9–15 Paul receives a vision to go to Macedonia. Upon arrival, they preach to a group of women who receive the good news and Lydia offers hospitality to Paul and his friends.
Psalm 67 This psalm encourages all the nations to praise God, enjoy God's mercy and receive God's provision.
Revelation 21:10, 22–22:5 John’s vision of the city of God, the New Jerusalem.
John 14:23–29 The Holy Spirit will come to teach.
May 16 – Seventh Sunday of Easter
Acts 16:16–34 Paul and Silas are freed from prison, and lead the jailer and his family to Christ.
Psalm 97 God reigns; let the earth be glad.
Revelation 22:12–14, 16–17, 20–21 The conclusion to Revelation. "I am coming soon."
John 17:20–26 Jesus prays for his disciples and for all who will come to believe In him, that they all may be one.
May 23, 2010 – Pentecost Sunday
Acts 2:1–21 While Jews from every nation are gathered In Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit descends and empowers the followers of Jesus.
Psalm 104:24–34, 35b God and Wisdom create the earth creatures.
Romans 8:14–17 Paul writes that we do not pray by ourselves. The Holy Spirit empowers us to speak as God's beloved children.
John 14:8–17 I and the Father are one", says Jesus to his followers In the Upper Room. He promises the gift of the Spirit, the Comforter.
May 30 Trinity Sunday
Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31 Proverbs personifies Wisdom as a woman who calls out to a foolish humanity to follow her.
Psalm 8: How glorious is God's name.
Romans 5:1-5: Paul says that we are justified, through God's grace, present in Jesus Christ.
John 16:12-15: Jesus promises to send the "Spirit of truth" who will teach and guide his followers in the way of his truth.
