A Message from the Missions Committee...

Ashland has an ongoing furniture ministry which began with the Columbia Salkehatchie Camp and was expanded in the Fall of 2015 with the historic flooding in the Columbia area. Signs have been placed in the community asking for donations of serviceable furniture, appliances, and other household items. Those wishing to donate, or others who are in need of these items are asked to call the church office. Members of Ashland pick up these items or deliver them to people who are in need. Ashland House, is used for storage of this furniture. Those in need are encouraged to come there to select items for their home. We currently have many sofas and recliner chairs, a few appliances, a washer and dryer, a refrigerator, and several microwave ovens. We can use kitchen items such as dinnerware, eating utensils, pots and pans, etc. We need bedroom furniture, all types and sizes.

How can you become involved in this outreach? If you have items to donate or know someone who does, call the church office. If you have the ability to help pick up or deliver items, call the church office. We always need people to help with delivery and pickup. Here is your opportunity to be a blessing to others who have lost all in the floods. For more information about this mission outreach from our church, call Jim Newcomb (803-315-7517) or John Calore (803-609-4780).
