Every Sunday Missions

Listed below are some ongoing missions that we hope you will support on a weekly basis.

Sharing God's Love Every week, we invite you to bring a box or a can of food with you to worship and place in the wicker baskets in the narthex or at the back of Ashland Hall. These are taken to Sharing God's Love, a local Food Pantry and helping organization in Irmo.

There is also a large wooden box in the hallway that covets your gently used clothes (all sizes and all ages needed). The food and clothing are taken to Sharing God's Love on a weekly basis.

Ronald McDonald House Pop Tops

This ministry provides housing and support for families bringing their children to Palmetto-Richland Hospital for treatment. Needed are pop-tops from soft drink cans and other products. Place them in the large jar on the Communications Table

Campbell Soup Labels for McCurdy School

This is one of many education and social ministries sponsored by General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. Located in New Mexico, it offers schooling for kindergarten -12th grade for all people in the area including Native Americans and Hispanics. Campbell Soup labels, Pepperidge Farm labels and Franco American spaghetti labels. {Virginia Combs > is Ashland's contact person.}

5th Sunday: Undie Sunday:

On every fifth Sunday, please purchase and place your packages of underwear/socks in the box under the Communications Table that go to The Oliver Gospel Mission in downtown Columbia.
